A Message from Shawn Tubman, President and CEO

 

If you own or operate a small to mid-size travel agency which focuses on cruise and land leisure travel and don’t want to be just another member of a large and impersonal travel consortium group, we’re the right choice for you.  Our strength is our focus and our intimate size.  We don’t try to be all things to all agents.  We know our agents and are responsive to their needs.  We have cruise and leisure expertise from both the supplier and agency sides in management and long-standing national account relationships with major cruise lines and tour operators.  We also work with travel service providers such as travel insurance and passport and visa providers.   


Most of our member agencies concentrate on cruise sales, but just about all sell land packages and tours as well.  Even in challenging times, cruising, in particular, still represents the best opportunity for agent prosperity in the travel marketplace. The cruise industry continues to be the fastest growing segment of the travel industry and has confirmed its reliance on the travel agent distribution system.  Cruise lines are building more and more ships and producing new and exciting products in order to cater to today’s consumer desires. The cruise lines continue to offer the most attractive commission rates and provide strong advertising support to their travel partners. On the other hand, land suppliers, such as GoGo, Travel Impressions, Trafalgar, Auto Europe and Maupintour offer generous commissions for our agent members.


We are in constant communication with our supplier partners. We have received strong support from each of them as well as significant promotional and co-op commitments that are available to you as an affiliate of Cruise Shoppes.  They offer us a multitude of agent benefits including recognition and invitations to functions, special agent and consumer promotional offers as well as accelerated commissions.  We then communicate all updates on a weekly basis to our members.
